Written project terms

The Warranty, In Plain English

We explain workmanship coverage in your written proposal and contract, because different materials and scopes do not fail in the same way.

What Our Written Coverage Addresses

Concrete flatwork. The contract identifies covered workmanship issues for the sidewalk, driveway, patio, or walkway included in the scope.

Pavers. Installation coverage is stated separately from any manufacturer warranty supplied with the selected paver product.

Masonry, pointing, stoops, and steps. Coverage applies to the specific mortar, bond, and rebuilt areas described in the contract.

Waterproofing and interiors. The written scope distinguishes our workmanship from fixtures, appliances, finishes, and systems covered by their manufacturers.

What No Honest Contractor Should Promise

  • That normal concrete curing will produce a perfectly uniform, crack-free surface forever.
  • That natural stone, masonry, and pigmented materials will have no colour variation.
  • Coverage for later tree-root movement, overloaded slabs, outside excavation, leaks, salt damage, or work performed by others.
  • Coverage for adjacent areas that were inspected but not included in the contracted work.

How to Raise a Concern

Call (516) 348-5145 or email info@gothamhomeservicesinc.com with the property address, photos, and approximate project date. We review the project record, inspect the concern when needed, and explain the next step.

Before You Hire Anyone

  1. Ask which registrations and insurance apply to your exact project.
  2. Request a certificate of insurance appropriate to the job.
  3. Confirm in writing who handles required permits and inspections.
  4. Read the exclusions and coverage term in the contract before signing.
